Position: Theater Marketer

Summary:
The Theater Marketer plays a crucial role in promoting and marketing theater productions, events, and related activities. This position requires a highly motivated and creative individual with a deep understanding of theater arts and the ability to effectively communicate and engage with diverse audiences. The Theater Marketer will collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, increase brand awareness, and foster audience engagement.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote theater productions, events, and programs.
2. Conduct market research to identify target audiences and their preferences, ensuring marketing efforts are tailored accordingly.
3. Create engaging and persuasive marketing materials, including brochures, posters, flyers, and digital content.
4. Coordinate with graphic designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality marketing collateral.
5. Utilize various marketing channels, such as social media, email marketing, print advertising, and public relations, to reach target audiences effectively.
6. Manage the theater's online presence and content, including the website, social media platforms, and online ticketing systems.
7. Collaborate with the Box Office team to develop ticket sales strategies and monitor ticket inventory.
8. Monitor and evaluate the success of marketing campaigns, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
9. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to maximize exposure and promotional opportunities.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing techniques to ensure the theater remains at the forefront of marketing innovation.
11. Assist in coordinating and executing special events, such as opening nights, fundraising galas, and promotional activities.
12. Collaborate with the marketing team on budgeting and financial planning, ensuring marketing initiatives are cost-effective and align with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Theater Arts, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the theater or entertainment industry.
3. Strong knowledge and passion for theater arts, including an understanding of theatrical production processes and industry dynamics.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling marketing messages.
5. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and website content management systems.
6. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and interpret marketing metrics to drive decision-making.
7. Highly creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative marketing ideas.
8. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Solid understanding of branding principles and the ability to maintain brand consistency across various marketing channels.
10. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design software is a plus.
12. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed, to support theater events and productions.
